Default "Torturing" your "children"

Okay, so some of you have actual human being children, and most of the rest of us have pet-children...but I think we all get much enjoyment out of "torturing" our kids once in a while!

Case in point...the other night I went to Target. My boyfriends parents have a little miniature dachaund (sp?) dog and I always get the animals little christmas gifts. So, I got "Monster" (the dog) a little doggie jacket. I got it home and couldn't resist trying it on one of my cats to see if it fit, how it looked, and how my cat reacted to it.

IT WAS HILARIOUS!! My cat (Sheba) was almost paralyzed by the jacket. She would attempt to back out of the jacket but only succeeded in falling over.

Here's a pic of her in the jacket...I'm saying something and making some sort of wierd face...so don't pay attention to me in the pic!!

So, I want to hear some stories about how you "tortured" your pets/kids...keep in mind...No stories about acutally HURTING the animals/children though!!

Dachshund. "Der Dachs" is a badger, and "Das Hund" is the dog. A Dachshund was bread to hunt badgers.

Here, they call them "Dackel", not Dachshund.

You really shouldn't "abuse" you cats, though. Cats always have a way of getting back at you (like "massaging" your stomach when you are laying on the couch, then, when you are just starting to enjoy it, they pull out their claws...

I used to have 3 cats, but one had to be put down due to a heart problem, and my ex-wife took the other two with her when she left. I do miss having them (the cats) around sometimes.

OK, here goes: my most recent torturing involved this year's halloween mask. I brought it home and she kept asking what it was. So, I get the brilliant idea to stand next to her room in the dimly lit hallway. I didn't move a muscle, just stood there with my head cocked to the side. When she walked by and saw it she just froze with this pityful look of horror on her face. Needless to say, she had to change her pullup.

EDIT: I was gonna post a pic of the mask, but I cannot attach anything to this thread for some reason.

While you're at it (nice hands, by the way ), try putting a piece of masking tape on each 'side' of the cat.

Putting it down their backs will make them think something is above them, and they will stoop down on their bellys.

Putting it on one of their sides (left or right) will cause them to think they are rubbing up against something unpleasant, and they'll stagger sidways.

Putting it down their belly makes them think there's something underneath them. This one seems to be the funniest!

Sometimes, I'll fart on them to make the wife laugh . . . but I don't think they notice.

shave your cat bald and staple firecrackers to it's tail..... or is that considered HURTING it? J/K !!! I love the peanutbutter on the roof of my dog's mouth trick, good for a laugh! Or put their head in MY WIFE"S nylon stocking.... = cat burgler.

I forgot.

Sometimes, I'll stretch a CLEAN sock over their heads. It temporarily blinds them, and they kind of freak out trying to 'backout' of the sock. You have to be careful, though. They'll take off running sometimes and run into stuff. You have to be ready to stop them.

Nope...not crazy cat lady. I have two cats...that just makes me a cat fan. If I had three cats, I'd be on the verge of cat lady. Four cats, and I'd for sure be the cat lady!!

Actually a friend of mine has NINE cats!!! She had started with two and then took in a stray, that happened to be pregnant. Her and her boyfriend couldn't give up any of the kittens...

I couldn't handle cleaning up after that many! Two is enough!

My two knuckleheads:

They got "tortured" enough when they were younger. I just leave them alone these days. Took the brown one to the vet yesterday. She has problems breathing. Looks like it might be a slight case of asthma. No tumors or lung problems seen on the X-Rays, and that is good news.

well, i dont think this hurts, but be warned, it might seem it. i have two cats and a really long and wide hallway. one day, we were getting stuff out of the storage room and lined up to where the hallway was about half the normal size. the cats like to "drag race" together down the hallway and they were doing that when i opened a door and all i heard was a THUMP and one cat flying by. don't worry, the cat is still alive, nothing happened to it.

Have you ever seen those miniature college & pro football helmets? You can only fit something the size of a baseball or softball inside them (they're not very big).

My ex-wife and I used to strap our Dallas Cowboys mini-helmet on our cat's head and let it run around the house when we watched football games. It was fun and the cat never complained.

Ha Ha Ha, you found the best reason to own cats. That's just great.

Hardwood floors + cats = CAT BOWLING!!!

I usually spin em around a bit to get em dizzy then slide them down the hall. When the jump to their feet they'll usually stumble off from being dizzy.

I have hardwood floors and my cats do their own type of "slip and slide" all the time! They take off at lightning speed and slide onto any rug that's on the floor. I come home and the rugs are scrunched up against the walls!! [/i]
