Not voting ... I missed the deadline to order absentee ballot materials.

Not a big deal, though. I am registered in California, and CA always votes democratic, so indirectly I have voted for Kerry/Edwards.

There is no point in voting in Massachusetts. This state is so overwhelmingly liberal that your vote will make no difference either way.

If I was to vote, I would vote for Kerry, not because I like him, but because in my humble opinion Bush is a retard on a mission. There is nothing more dangerous than that.

Then of course, Bush blatantly violated all the principles of republicanism - violated the idea of small government (created another huge bureaucracy - Homeland Defense) - violated citizens right's protection (the intrusive Patriot Act) - violated the principle of fiscal conservation (biggest deficits ever, and growing fast) - violated the principle of American isolationism (now we are nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan - yet Bush ran against Gore on a "no nation building" platform, remember?)

If you are in one of those swing states, I would urge you to vote against Bush.
my 2 cents...

Sadly, due to some family issues, I changed my last name this year, so the new me isnt registered to vote. I am a Texas resident, and I would have had to go into the place and show them my legal name change paperwork. Sadly it didnt happen so here I am on the sidelines of my first election I am eligible to vote in. Though I must say I would vote for Kerry just because if you vote for Bush, then you are just voting for more of the same...and after this long and costly war(s), I dont know how much more of this I can stand. I have friends and colleagues out there risking their lives for all the wrong reasons.

My 2 cents.

Yes. There is no excuse, despite what you think the politics of your region are. Democracy depends on it.

Axel, nobody said they are a Kerry fan. I actually have to meet a Kerry fan, and I live in MA. The point is that people are so sick of Bush and his cronies, that they will rally behind whoever is Bush's opponent.

When Bush took office, he said that he is a uniter not a divider, and that he won't do Washington style politics...now you can see for yourself

Obviously there are some Kerry fans because 6 people voted for him. Personally, I'm not fond of either one of them, but I believe Bush to be the lesser of two evils.

For 10 years I voted for someone.

Sadly, for the last 20 years I'm voting against someone.

There is no perfect candidate.

All you can do is pick the lesser of 2 evils.

He who lies, and is corrupt, is done with me.

It's 9:15pm here, and the're showing "Farenheit 9/11" here (dubbed in German) on TV this evening! (It's on right now, but I saw it in the theaters a few weeks ago).

Did Michael Moore succeed in getting it aired in the US tonight, too?

I'm not sure. What is the movie about anyway? Is it just a bunch of Bush bashing?

Well, basically, when you boil it down, ... yes.

Wow, I think you nailed it 100% as per my feelings about it. In fact, to take it a step foward, I hate kerry but will still vote kerry. Not like it matters in this republic

There is action in inaction. What action would be accomplished by not voting? I don't know, maybe just a throwing of your stone towards the bull%%%% that we call candidates right now. That's my fault though, because I didn't run this year

And seriously, your vote, my vote, his vote doesn't determin who our president is. It doesn't even influence it. It's a ritual for stat keeping purposes only. Our last election showed that clearly (comming from a guy who would have voted Bush over Gore at the time anyways)
