I don't even use that stuff on the cage!! Rain-X has lost my interest in their product. What other uses are there for that stuff -- besides an annoying haze on the windshield?

If you let it dry and buff it with a clean towel, turning often, it works very well. I like to use the inside of tube socks, with the loopy surface.

Maybe you suffer from Failuretofollowdirectionsitis.

I like rain x, they have the schmutz you dump in the windshield wiper cleaner reservoir.

works fairly well.
