only problem with water world is that even when all the ice melts, the ocean levels rise what, 100 ft. max.

and where I'm sitting is nearly 900 feet asl.

but I liked the premise.

Well, some of the movies mentioned aren't "post apocalyptic".

But, I can't beleive I only saw one vote for Logan's Run.

Others:
The Road Warrior
The Last Man on Earth (I love old movies)
Planet of the Apes
Escape from New York (No tougher Motha Luva like Snake Plisken)
Hell Comes to Frogtown (Super, ultra cheese Post apocalyptic flick with Rowdy Roddy Piper in the lead role character named "Hell")
Cherry 2000

and how can we forget THX 1138.

There was only one Snake Plissken....and that was Kurt Russell.

That said...there's only one Jack Burton too!

Most of the movie gossip will agree with you on that one. They have changed directors a few times and can't get a large market actor to play snake... Tells me it's gonna be in the $5 bin at Wal Mart pretty soon...

Shoot......

Why even bother then?

I mean really? You take a movie that on first run was a "B" at best. But endeared itself to a cult like following. Other than a few poorly executed explosions...I don't see where the movie could use a freshening up so to speak. Leave it alone!

That's like trying to do a remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" ... No one could ever duplicate or improve upon Tim Curry's performance!

I could see Ving Rhames as The Duke. Easy.

Kevin Spacey maybe as The Brain.

"Yessir, the check is in the mail."
