the proper reference for irony factor would be

"and next week, for the first time ever, Aerosmith!"

I'm not sure what the English name of the film is ... and if I would have written "Terminator - Die Erlösung", few of you would have understood...

Don't remember seeing The Postman, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Logan's Run, The Quiet Earth, Things to Come or Dark Star, mentioned yet.

The Day of the Triffid, British television series from the 80s is outstanding. 28 Days Later was largely inspired by the book.

My favorites: Postman, 12 Monkeys, Waterworld. I think the only things wrong with Postman and Waterworld would have been using Kevin Costner as a lead. Always so monotone. Don't usually care for Brad Pitt but he was awesome in 12 Monkeys.

Reality TV...face it....if this is entertainment, we've already had the apocalypse.

One of the first signs of the apocalypse.

On the Beach. (2000 remake). I saw this made for TV movie a few years ago and found it kind of disturbing.

made back about 1960, saw it on cable a few years back.

made at the height of the cold war; which reminds me, another good apocalypse movie.

Failsafe.

Released 2 weeks after "Dr. Strangelove" so everybody at the time thought it was a comedy.

Later remade in 2000 with an all star cast.

Try out the game Prototype. Best game lol, isn't really post-apocalyptic but a disease which ends up killing thousands in New York sounds like it.

Shockingly enough it translates to the English title - Terminator: Salvation
