Default car repair question

I figure enough people do work on their bikes that a simple car question should be easy. I have trim on the exterior of the car that runs horizontally down both sets of doors. Well the clips that hold the trim to the car on the driver door have started to break and the trim is coming off. I'm wondering if there is a way to adhere it back to the car or if I should start shopping the bone yards for a matching piece. I can't just use glue or something like that because the trim is convexed and doesn't lay flat against the door. Anyone got any suggestions? (besides ditch the car and just ride the bike)
