Hey Dan, if you're ever feelin fancy, Hoegaarden with mixed with black currant is called a Dirty Hoe. I've never tried one but the name alone almost makes it worth it. Rickard's makes a decent white beer too.

1. Innis & Gunn
2. Guinness
3. MGD
4. Maclays
5. Bud Light

I don't know about Europe, but in the states, Hoegaarden has started putting the phonetic spelling of their brand on 12 packs. (who garden).

dirty hoe *chuckle*

A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.

I've finally got to try New Begium's Fat Tire.

After all the build up, it wasn't quite what I expected. I can't speak for everybody...but part of it is I suspect some herd mentality. I.E. if those around you say Budweiser is the best tasting..you only have that reference point...therefore...when you taste a Budweiser you associate it as being the best...a taste of say Miller...will be far different...possibly unpleasant compared to what you know to that point for reference, hence reinforcing the point that Budweiser is the best.

I have met a lot of people that say that Fat Tire is the be all end all..some of them I know to be accomplished in their beer tastes and knowledge, but I get a gander at the flunkies in tow, like the one that told me that Budweiser is the best...and he just spouts that Fat Amber is the best...countered with a question as simple as, "Really? Have you had it?" It's always met with a no.

But..I did get to have some 1554 from New Belgium, and I have to say, that kicked some serious ass for the style guidelines it was going for. Damn tasty and easy going for those that aren't into serious beers. A beginner could pick that up and make a solid determination without any preconceived notions of it's goodness or badness.

That said...I can't wait to try their Mothership Wit.

I like the ones I brew myself.
Unfortunately, no matter what you do, it never comes out exactly the same twice.
And you can always try different brews, light, dark, anything in between, it doesn't really matter,it's all still good!

Over the past few months we have turned Thursday night at Buffalo Wild Wings into a tradition. It's their boneless wings night, and also Mexican beer and Margarita night. The wife got a few 'ritas and i stuck with the brews. I am not a big fan of Corona, but when it's $1.50 I will drink one or two. I then picked up a Dos Equis Amber and a Land Shark since apperently no one told them that it's brewed in Jacksonville Fla. it was ok, kinda reminded me of a mix of Corona Extra and Bud Light.

Well the boredom bug caught Dan once again this evening in the grocery store. Bought a 6er of Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde. I have to say it's better than I expected. I was expecting the strawberry flavor to overtake the lager, but it's a good blend of flavor.

I just picked up some Summit Great Northern Porter. I think I have loved every Porter I have ever tried, but this is just awesome.

I saw this and had to post it. Read the heading under the video. Yikes.

MyProps.org - Video: Forklift driver's alcohol pile-up - Reuters/AP Strange News Videos

If this was the old Russia he and his family would be on a oneway train ride to Siberia right about now.
