Thomas is looking good for Boston. 2 shutouts in 2 days.
Last time was Andy Mogg.

Should have picked Philly in the Pool.

YouTube - Milan Lucic hits Mike Van Ryn through the Glass

Good legal hit! (I used to put guys through the glass all the time......playing Sega NHL 93')

I say bring back the Physical play. Do you guys remember the "Bruise Brothers"....Bob Probert & Joey Kocur? I think Kocur was actually a better fighter.

Remember poor Jim Kyte from Winnepeg.........The don't have fights like this anymore

YouTube - Joey Kocur vs Jim Kyte

Fights are not what Hockey is about.
End to end rushes with good solid hits!!!

I have left the arena, after games, with no voice left.

The 1-4 trap Boston used last night sort of put a lid on that.

Of course it's not what hockey's "about". But you end up with alot of cheap shots & high sticking where guys can really get hurt when you don't let them fight and get it over with. I guess I'm more old school with that.

When you have a game that gets to the 3rd period of overtime, the game has been end to end, fights have been few and when the game is over and you are all speach less from screaming during the game, then you know you have been to a "Hockey" game.

The kind of game where you walk over to the other team and compliment the players on a great game.

This game was between the Columbia Valley Rockies and the Cranbrook Colts ( now the Kootenay Ice), 2 Junior B teams, game 6 of a 7 game playoff series.

It was a game you wish would never end with no loser!!!

It was right up there with the Canada-Russia game I attended in Calgary a few years later.

I think so, I heard he's already on his way to becoming an Icon in Boston and he's only 19.
I watched that game the other night, looks like he had lots of fans cheering for him.

Poor Jim.

I enjoy a good hockey fight but also enjoy a good fast paced hard hitting game. So far I like the new rules which opens the game up a bit.

The Sega NHL games were awesome. My friends and I had a good league going with that system back in the day.

Did you ever see the movie Swingers? This is one of my favorite scenes. LOL

Man, your just a much nicer guy than me! I'm so ashamed.

What I like the most about Hockey players are that there just regular guys and no matter how physical a game was they all shake hands afterward.

Snafu: Holy crap that clip was me and my friends all over again. We used to have tournaments playing Sega and I was always the "Habs" because Dennis Savard was unstopable in that game.

Sedin twins back in it.

MS in stands to watch the game.
Is he about to sign with Vancouver???

I hope not, he is no $10,000,000. per season player!!!

Maybe if we are lucky he will sign with LA.

Good game with the Vancouver last night. Probably our best defensive game this year. The Wings offense has been great but we're not playing championship caliber defense yet. We need to keep getting better on D.

Now if Vancouver would stop ending up in the box, it would have been an even better game.

Dude's on fire.

Okay Thrashers win again. Now your justing getting my hopes up so that you can crush them later aren't you. If they win a few more I might just have to plunk down some of my hard earned cash and go see them in person.
