Dallas started slow last year, but they ended up on a roll. It just matters how you end the season.

Ah yes, the mighty Blackhawks ............maybe not. Oh well you can't win them all.

Hossa finally got his first goal as a Redwing. The OT winner last night. Hopefully that's the start of many more!

We strive for medocrity! I mean when you trade, Marc Savard, Marian Hossa and you have one of the worst bluelines in hockey, you get outshot by 10-20 shots every single game, what do you expect Don Waddell (GM)?

Love the Wings and try to catch one at the Joe every season. In my home town we have an IHL team. I go to there games so much that I would probably save money if I bought season tickets. I love hockey.

Yeah, he killed his best friend in his Ferrari accident So he didn't like the criticism from people about it so he demanded to be traded. Traded him to Ottawa for Hossa. Now we let Hossa go. So we don't have either. Morons.........

Ahh, the days of Selanne & Hawerchuk. It would suck to lose your hockey team. Sorry dude.

My Wings come to town today to play My Thrashers tonight. I can't believe I won't be able to make the game tonight!!!!!

I hope Hossa has a hat trick and the wings win 3-2 in OT though! That way at least the Thrashers pick up a point

Power play comes alive, 4 for 6.
Goaltending was not a feature at either end.

No love lost here.

Yeah me too. Who said the Lord doesn't have a sense of humor. lol

Can you believe friggin' 36yr old Keith Tkachuk is leading the league in goals.

BTW: Where are all the Canadians????? This is a Hockey Thread people, you know, your national pastime. Blackie1491 is on an island by himself here. Guys from GA, AL, TX, & LA are talking hockey.....what's wrong with this picture?

Hard to believe Tkachuk is 36. *Funny thing to say especially when he's a year younger than me *. I remember him he broke into the league as this feisty young player who had lots of skill. IMHO Was one of the best power forwards in the NHL when he was at his prime, It's too bad I will always remember him as a Prima Donna who always wanted to hold out until his contract was renegotiated because it was never enough. He must have done that what? 2 or 3 times?

Kudos to Sergei Federov on the highest goal scoring Russian in the league. He was always one of my favorite players and I loved the years when he was with the Red Wings. I still have his rookie Hockey Card and lots of other collector sets. He was never the same after Anna left him.

As I always used to say...you're better off with Federov.

Thanks for jumpin' into the mix Snafu, representing the Canadians. I hear what your saying man, I'm 35 and I'd be an old guy if I were in the league. I actually didn't hear that fact about Federov. That is pretty cool.

I've got a Redwings poster in my office from the 95-96 season it has Yzerman in the middle with Federov & Coffey on each side of him.

Federov's definitely lost a step or two, but he still is a good player. They were actually talking about traded Yzerman in the early 90's because Federov had taken over the team as a goal & point scorer. Thank God they didn't. Hey Federov got three rings and 400 goals scored as a Wing. Can't beat that.

Did anyone catch the Hossa goal against Atlanta? OMG! Dude is gonna have a career year playing with Datsyuk & Holmstrom & Lidstrom & Rafalski.
