We still have a very talented team. But the magic might finally be over. While the Blackhawks & Blues have gotten better the Wings are trying to plug holes with sub-par players this year. Plus we don't have a Hasek in goal anymore.

The Wings have been the best franchise in hockey the past 15yrs. But nothing lasts forever.

I had the canucks in the pool last week and got 2 points out of 2 games. Would have got 15 in the 1 game last night.

Man I caught the last 1/2 of the Blackhawks/Flames game last night. Flames up 5-0 in the first. Hawks WIN 6-5 in OT. Biggest comeback win in Blackhawks history. The Hawks are a fun, young team to watch.

I enjoyed watching them last year.
Quit is not a word they use.

Woo hoo!! The Sabres took it to Detroit last night!! Hopefully they saved some for Atlanta on Saturday. My daughter and I will be at that one.

Yes I had the displeasure of watching that debacle last night. Ryan Miller is looking good and so is the rest of the Sabres. The Wings are in for a rough year by their standards.

I wouldn't say Hasek was that big of a player that his loss directly takes our team to the dumps. not sure if you meant it that way, but thats what it sounded like.

Hasek was sub-par at the very end anyways. He was constantly hurt and when he lost he still made excuses. I have and always will be an ozzie fan. Last night's game was not his best ever, but i stand behind him. Our loss of scoring talent is what will doom us this year..

Go Jackets, 4-1. The kids seem to be maturing together. Nash signing long term planted a flag for the franchise. The team is far from a finished product but I don't think teams are looking beyond us any more.

Don't look now but the Atlanta Thrashers are 4-1. Kovalchuk is redhot and Hedburg stood on his head with 40 saves in victory over the Sabres on Saturday night.

Going to watch them play the NJ Devils this saturday night.

I was at this game... Sabres just couldn't get anything going... Atlanta always gives them a hard time

You had your chances and you outshot us pretty bad (everybody outshoots us). I'm just glad Lalime was playing for you guys and not Miller.

Afinogenov couldn't have choosen a better time to score his first goal of the season against his former team. That one was HUGE. You guys had just closed it to a one goal game and 23 seconds later Max went end to end with a highlight reel goal.

Buffalo is looking good and they seem to have a real solid team that will make the playoffs and you have the goaltending in Miller to make some noise once you get there.

I kinda glad DirecTV and VS had there spiff. I'm getting all kind of hockey coverage this year. I could get 6 different games the other night. I've even seen all but 2 of the Pens games so far.

The Thrashers hot start is not so hot now. Lost another game by one goal again.

The Redwings have scoring problems and when they are ahead in the 3rd period they can't hold a lead anymore. This could be a long season for them. Plus this Anderson goalie kid from Colorado stood on his head as Detroit outshot the Avs. 49-23 and lost 3-1. Go figure.

Luongo is starting to look like a goalie. Canucks are winning at home. Still early in the season to get your hopes up.

The Avs do look good and I still like Chicago.

Hey Blackie Detroit is Playing you guys tonight. I didn't realize that. We got your old player Bertuzzi now. I wonder what that guy has left. I hate to say it but I hope our fortune changes against the fish tonight.

Bertuzzi changed when he got a big pay hike, he no longer took his place in front of the net, then he did that stupid hit.

We had 6 players off including Daniel Sedin, who was expected to be off up to 6 weeks. He was saying maybe 3 weeks, but no one has said anything in the past week.

I accept if hockey is ever as popular as football, baseball or basketball in the U.S.
