Calgary seems to have tanked, giving the Canucks a chance to over take them. The Sedin line, the Twins and Burrows have been hot lately.

Hope it continues.

Default Playoffs!!!!

Ok the real hockey season starts now.

Sorry Buffalo fans.

Vancouver is hot and playing well and could be dangerous.

Detroit has lost interest the last 2 weeks of the regular season, can they turn it up now? Is their goaltending good enough?

Is Boston really this good or will they flop in the playoffs?

How far can Brodeur carry NJ into the playoffs?

Watch out for Washington & St. Louis(believe it or not).

Redwings always seem to back off in the last 2 weeks of the season. They have the points and don't push the players so hard.

Goal tending is were I feel Vancouver may be a problem.
Luongo worries me one on one.

Boston is very consistant.

Should be some good series.

Hopefully the next game is not a penalty filled game again.

2 down.
Now lets see what the Canucks can do without home ice advantage.

Wings are looking good so far. They seem to switch on when playoffs start.

Osgood is playing like he did in last year playoffs as well. It's only Columbus so I'm not to excited yet, there supposed to beat them. However they have looked pretty good so far.

First series the Canucks have swept in 4.

I am a little concerned about 7-9 days off. Easy to loose an edge.

Default President's Cup

This is why winning the President's Cup (Best regular season record) is much to do about nothing. The Sharks didn't make it out of the first round. What you want to do is be a hot team playing good defense with a hot goalie going into the playoffs and your regular season record becomes mostly meaningless.

Yes it should be. I don't expect you to sweep them. Should be about a 6 game series I'd say.

Boston should beat either team in the next round. I'm expecting them to make it to the finals out of the eastern conference.

Detroit is going to play Anaheim next. The Ducks are the 8th seed but really there playing like a 2 seed. They have a excellent team with one of the best defensive corps in the league. I expect a 6 or 7 game series here. It's not going to be easy, just ask the Sharks!

Default Best Overall Player in the World!

Pavel Datsyuk. Yes that's right Pavel Datsyuk. He just doesn't get the pub. other guys get. People are finally starting to realize how great this guy is. I've known it for 4yrs.

He's a finalist for the Hart Trophy(MVP), the Selke (Top Defensive Forward) and Lady Bing (Sportsmanship).

Ovechkin is a more pure scorer.
Malkin is much bigger.
But Datsyuk has everything. Scoring, passing, defense, speed, moves, +/- Rating, Special Teams and Face Off.

He'll win the Selke & Lady Bing again. But I'll bet Ovechkin gets the Hart.

NHL.com - NHL Awards: Ovechkin, Malkin, Datsyuk are Hart finalists - 04/29/2009

You never know. I thought he was a defenseman. I don't ever get to watch the Bruins.
