|  Tech News AMOLED Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode The Television of the Future OLED-TV Pictures, Videos Infos and History Plasma, and LCD televisions will soon be a thing of the past, imagine a television screen as thin as a piece of paper that weighs no more than a few ounces. Or, so flexible it could be worn around your wrist and is virtually indestructible. The primary benefit of OLED displays over traditional LCDs is that OLEDs do not require a backlight to function, and consume less power during operation. OLED displays are expected to be more efficiently manufactured than LCDs and plasma displays. The AMOLED technology have full layers of cathode, organic molecules and anode, the anode layer overlays a thin film transistor (TFT) array that forms a matrix. The TFT array itself is the circuitry that determines which pixels get turned on to form an picture. Invisibilty Cloak Take this lightly it comes from Berkley, acid may have been involved.

| so what's the timetable for this? I mean, regular people timetable, not the "I got 5 large here and I'm going to buy a fancy gizmo" timetable.

| There was a keyboard shown over at Gizmodo, the Gadget Guide sometime ago that was AMOLED on the keys... cant find the damn link now of course, but gizmodo has lotsa good stuff if you are a tech geek (my day job)
