Default Apolitical Blues

I chose the bluesy Van Halen song title for this thread because it fits nicely.

First, let's review one of the rules:

Quote:
Political or Religious Topics
Motorcycle-Journal.com is a family-oriented motorcycle discussion forum. There are visitors and members here from all over the world, representing many different races, religions, lifestyles and political directions. We kindly ask that our members to exercise restraint and tolerance for other people. Discussions threads that could be considered as offensive to others will be closed and/or removed at the discretion of the forum moderators or administrators.
As I was perusing the off-topic forum, I found an ad in one of the threads for signing a petition to stop pork barrel spending. It was paid for by from "John McCain 2008."

So, as long as someone's pocket is being padded, it's okay to be political?

Let's make sure I have this right: It is NOT okay for a person to express their political views here, but it IS okay for them to be bombarded by ads from the highest political bidder?

My face when I saw the ad: How hypocrytical.

If I said I was surprised, I'd be lying.
