One of my former girlfriends came from a US Army family (her father was a Colonel). They were a good Irish Catholic family (she was the 11th of 11 children). Her brothers and sisters could drink anyone under the table...!

Although the definition of beer got lost in transit, you should try the British brown beer, the Irish black beer, or the European yellow beer.

The kids over here have started dirinking the more "fashionable" US beers like Coors, Miller, Bud, etc.

The other stuff, they claim, is too strong and, get this... an actual quote, 'Too beery'

somewhere along the line they realized people could drink a lot more if their beer didn't have any flavor.

Myself, actually had a porter from a microbrew at the U.S.'s largest energy fair.
