I have an old belt buckle that I wore when I was in Military School waaay back. It's a rectangular brass buckle with an Eagle on the front. I've seen em worn in Civil War movies and I think in the movie Taps. I'd like to wear it again but I can't find the type of belt it fit on. On one side of the back, the belt looped in and folded over so it could be sized. The other side had a clasp?? that hooked into a rectangular loop on the other end of the belt. I can't think of any other way to describe it. I do remember the belt was fairly thick and had cotton batting inside. I believe they were originally made by NS Meyer? Am I just goofy ..sorry, don't answer that...or does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've been looking for years and it just occurred to me that there are quite a few military folks on here that might know. Everyone else I talk to just give a blank look.... I'll take some pics when I get home if need be. |
