Professional Engineer's license. Sort of like passing the BAR (lawyer's exam required to practice), except for engineers. Not easy, but doable if I can ever get these houses sold/bought and get my life back.

I haven't touched a weight in over 2 weeks.

$480. And truthfully it set me back nothing since my dad funded the purchase.

My next venture is motorcycle related. I was sent a letter of invitation to consider becoming an instructor for Team Oregon last year.
I've decided to at least get the prerequisistes out of the way so that next year I can start the instructor training in earnest.

I have to audit two Basic Rider Courses and take a skills test. The skills test shouldn't be a problem - the instructor that recommended me said I definitely had the proficiency to instruct.

I have the Advanced Rider Training on June 9 and then after that I'll get to audit a couple Basic courses this summer.

Contrary to popular belief, Oregon is not infact a part of California!

We have pretty liberal gun laws (is that a contradiction?)

As a non citizen, but legal permanent resident I can own any weapon that a citizen can own - included NFA restricted weapons (silenced, short barreled rifles, fully automatic) subject to the normal paperwork and $$$

I can (and do) carry concealed as well as I have my CHL.

Ah Yes....I remember my first time too. It was in Jump School, while in the Army...I screamed like a school girl at first...and then found that I couldn't pack my chute fast enough to go back up.

Good Luck!

Default An unwanted hobby of sorts

Rest......setting around on my arse, naps, laying around......not lifting anything over ten pounds.....yeah, due to surgery about a month ago.....BUT no, not something I'm used to doing. To be honest......the over abundance of it--six weeks tomorrow.....is making me ill and frustrated.....thankfully I'm weened off the narcotic pain killers.......then again, maybe that's a bad thing i.e. awareness that I'm pretty much useless around the house and out and about.

Oh well.....at least I can post and not nod off nor forget what I just said

fork it all, I'm moving to Oregon!

Here, certain types of guns, well, let's just say it ain't easy.

Brought to you by one of the few (3) states that still don't allow concealed carry.

Communist legislature.

Now I have found a musical instrument I like playing ... beyond that .. thats about it for me.
All that is left is for you go buy a powder blue Prius...

LOL....I almost couldn't wait for him to "trot" off the stage when he finished.

I thought for sure I was gonna hear hooves.

I already have too many hobbies and not enough time. But the past week or so has been spent at my friends garage rebuilding the engine on his 1986 Isuzu Pup. Pulling the block out tonight, hopefully have everything back in tomorrow night!
