Default Appointment software. Help

I am looking for a program that will remind me of appointments / deliveries for my PC. Does any one know of a free program that will do this? Maybe I already have something like this in Windoze that I don't know of.

I use that a lot. But I want to add recurring events (i.e. Monthly, weelly, every 26 days etc.) I'm going to try Google Calendar with my gmail account.

Use Google calendar (very similar to Sunbird and Outlook) and have it send text reminders to your cell phone. That's what I do. Now you can do "snooze" popups on your pc, too.

So, for the long and painful description:

My main calendar is MS Outlook. Free to me, because my company provides the laptop and the Exchange server account. I've installed the Plaxo toolbar, so I sync my calendar and my contacts to Plaxo (so I always have a backup)! I've paid a few $$$ for a Plaxo membership, but it's not expensive.

Plaxo syncs to Google Calendar, so I can view my calendar from any PC that is connected to the 'net, and even without opening Outlook since I've got Google Desktop installed and the "calendar" gadget. All of this is free.

The only piece that is missing right now is the ability to sync from Google Calendar to Mozilla's Lightning. I use Thunderbird for e-mail at home, and I've installed Lightning there. There is no tool to sync to Lightning at the moment, so I'll just have to be patient.

Why are you using Lightning? What does it offer that Google Calendar doesn't?
