Default Biker Down

My wife says that when its your time, its your time, and there is nothing you can do about it....

From Newsday:

NY motorcycle rider killed by falling branch
May 12, 2008
GARRISON, N.Y. - A falling tree branch is being blamed by police for the death of a 60-year-old Connecticut man who was riding his motorcycle to have dinner with his mother and sister on Mother's Day.

Putnam County Undersheriff Peter Convery says Eugene Wolfthall, of New Milford, was riding on Route 9 on Sunday when the large branch fell and hit him in the head as he passed the Garrison firehouse. The undersheriff says Wolfthall was killed instantly in the freak mishap, and his motorcycle continued riderless for a quarter of a mile.

I agree with your wife.
I've heard about big branches falling on cars and killing the driver.
When it's your turn, it's your turn!

That is insane. How crazy would it be to see his bike just ghost riding down the street?

My only fear when riding is not getting killed but maimed for life. That would suck!!

Holy... What are the chances of that? That is one of those things that make you believe that when it is your time...

Sometimes there's nothing you can do no matter what you're doing. The guy could have been walking down the street and the same freak thing could have happened.

I just want to go in my sleep. No muss, no fuss.

sad but true. The girl I'm seeing is a nurse and she says it amazes her how the ones you wouldn't think would live.. live..

but the ones you think should live pass away.. your day is numbered for sure.
