15. Goodbye Fruit Flies
To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass fill it 1/2' with
Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid, mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!

16. Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it 'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!

still waiting for uncle b to find a good use for charcoal ashes. Like how they kill ants would be good.

or any method for killing ants. got a sidewalk here and I powder for ants every couple of weeks, and I'm getting to the point of using explosives and what all else I can think of.

17. INFO ABOUT CLOTHES DRYERS
The heating unit went out on my dryer! The repairman that fixes things around the house for us told us that he wanted to show us something and he went over to the dryer and pulled out the lint filter. It was clean.
(I always clean the lint from the filter after every load clothes.) He told us that he wanted to show us something; he took the filter over to the sink, ran hot water over it. The lint filter is made of a mesh material - I'm sure you know what your dryer's lint filter looks like.
well,...the hot water just sat on top of the mesh! It didn't go through it at all! He told us that dryer sheets cause a film over that mesh that's what burns out the heating unit. You can't SEE the film, but it's there. It's what is in the dryer sheets to make your clothes soft and static free -- that nice fragrance too, you know how they can feel waxy when you take them out of the box, well this stuff builds up on your clothes and on your lint screen. This is also what causes dryer units to catch fire & potentially burn your house down with it! He said the best way to keep your dryer working for a very long time (& to keep your electric bill lower) is to take that filter out & wash it with hot soapy water & an old toothbrush (or other brush) at least every sixmonths. He said that makes the life of the dryer at least twice as long!

might wanna try some bait treatments...
growing up we had this huge mound (6 inches tall) in the front yard... we used this liquid bait around the opening to the mound...

they came out and ate it...
repeated for about a week and the whole colony was dead...

FYI, a good use for charcoal ash is gardening. add it to a compost heap or directly into the soil... just watch they PH balance though...

I gave you a sample of their tune a couple of months ago and you dissed them. Changed your mind I see.

Yes I did. A lot to be said for an old school outfit just gettin' it done with an SG an LP and two Palomino combo amps wired into four cabs. Good old straight forward bar rock and roll.

You got that clip. I'd like to listen to it again, but then again, I don't care much for ballads. The lead singer was being interviewed before the show, and he pretty much echoed my statement that you quoted me on. The ballads bring in the chicks. The chicks swell the fan base. The fan base buys records and attends shows. A funny anecdote he gave was how gals on the road try to impress them with stories of how the are a "Crazy B1tch". He said they go on about some drunkalogue about how the really are crazy....not like a sexual freak like the song implies but just freakin' nuts. He said he's learned to say stuff like "Right on! You are crazy!" and not encourage the stories......the stories make you start looking for the security team!

I enjoy the gear so I had just as good a time listening to the music, as well as checking out the rigs and gear the bands were running through.

The Crue looked like they got in a Time Machine. I know...makeup does wonders, but they looked and acted roughly about the Feelgood era. The set list was killer. Not a lemon in the bunch. Mick ran the whole set through a beat to sh1t 70's era strat that had been hot rodded. Way cool.

Papa Roach...I am a casual fan of their stuff, but I didn't care for them live. They've been at this almost or more than ten years now. Their stage presence was blah....I didn't care to see the guitarist running through an endless parade of six thousand dollars PRS's (that is if they are not one off customs). PRS's are nice guitars, but I think they have a place, certainly not metal (IMO), eh....I guess to me, it doesn't give the appearance of a band that has "paid their dues". It just typifies the music of their era and peers.
