Holy smokes, am I still alive?!? The aftermath of the Great Charity Pickle Juice Ingestion Mistake of 2008 . . .

At work, the stomach burn started almost immediately. The nausea was strong, but not strong enough to force a puke. My stomach started rumbling and gurgling within 5 minutes of drinking that crap. The rumbling/gugrling steadily dropped until it felt like my lower intestines were full of Pop Rocks.

On the way home, I started to feel like I had to fart. I knew better. As soon as I hit the door and shut of the alarm, I stroked it to the can.

O

M

G!!

Ever sat on the pot for an hour? No? Good for you. I have.

I went through (no lie) a roll and a half of terlet paper in that hour. Everytime I'd stand up and think I was done . . . here it'd come again. Pure liquid. Like a fire hose.

I think my yeasr of physical comedy may be over, or at least as far as consuming nasty stuff for a laugh.

Ouch.

Enemas don't give that cold sweat feeling as it moves through your intestines though...

I'd take an enema over a bad case of diarrhea any day of the week.

I really didn't need that accurate of a description this early in the morning. The resulting visual forced me to quit eating my donuts, and I will never eat another pickle.
But I am glad you survived and are doing better.

Boy howdy!!

This just in: it may not have been the pickle juice as much as it was the fact that the jar had been open for a few days without refrigeration. I scrounged up the jar in order to check the label. I fully anticipated seeing "Do not drink brine" on there, but instead I found "refrigerate after opening." Fantastic.

I'm just dumb enough to do it out of curiosity . . . but I think I'll give the scabs in my colon a few days to heal first.

Dood...I so would.....

Seriously. I'm that driven by curiosity, that the thirst for resolution would outweigh the possible negative consequences.
