| Some screen names are pretty obvious. Some screen names are the person's name and a little bit more. These can be hilarious, like themeatmanlandry or frostbitevinnie. Screen names can identify you by certain physical or personality characteristics, like tallannie, Old New Biker, profane and RowdyRed94. Others are creative and pretty cool, like intimid8er, LCA_koolaid37 and SNAFU. Some make absolutely no sense to me at all, like ueishdha and QerftgFfyh. So tell us about your screen name. Why did you pick it? |

| We'll call this version 3. http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...an-thread.html http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...an-v2-0-a.html Mine is a reference to my 1994 Mustang GT, which was the reason for my first forum membership at Stangnet in 1999. I kinda wish I had changed it for other forums because it tends to shape peoples' perception of me before they really know me.

| Muscle Biker ![]() | inspiron...taken from the DELL INSPIRON laptop I was using when I started using chat rooms and forums back in year 2000. I needed a name, and there it was, just below my screen. And it was available. In the meantime, I've become very fond of the name. The original DELL laptop is long gone, but I find my 'nick' "inspiring".

| I got my impression of Clint from his former avatar with the guy on his bike with his tongue flapping. I used to work in a Texas themed restaurant (cue Don's Canada bashing, Texas is best dig) and we all had call names. Mine was Trapper. Some people see me out and still call me that. They probably don't know my real name. |

| My usual stock answer to these threads is that I'm really 5'2", 100lbs, and was picked on incessantly throughout adolescence. So I choose tough sounding names to use anonymously on the internet so I get the respect I deserve! All kidding aside, mine is a multiple play on linguistics. I think I first chose the name at least ten years ago to use as an AOL NASCAR handle. It was a play on my name, plus a play on my main driver's (Dale Earnhardt Sr. a.k.a. The Intimidator) name. And an acknowledgment of an historic Earnhardt number ( 8 ), so which then creates the phonetic play by eliminating the "t" and substituting the eight in the spelling of my handle.

| My son's nickname is Kawi, because he raced Kawasakis exclusively for so many years, I'm his Dad, so they called me Kawi's Dad. Then, they shortened it to KD, I jsut added the 57, it's been my number since 1971. It's also easy to type and remember on forums, unlike those names I see from time to time like this: IJnf6%LrS

| Amen to that. It's like they sneezed out their Alpha-bits. How are we supposed to remember that? I'll make an offer here to anyone who'd like theirs changed. No charge.

| Years ago I needed a nickname for some site and was trying names of cool cars. Of course they were all taken so I tried using different variations of their names. Thunderbird spelled with 'u' was the first that worked and I was in a hurry, so that's what I used. Seemed like a good name for a motorcycle forum, so here I am as Thundurburd. Maybe some day I'll come up with something more creative.

I guessed that, but I saw that you were from New Jersey, and determined the odds of that being true dropped significantly. But now. I see it is true.
