My middle name is James. When I was a regular at the playboy mansion, Hugh and I would hang out a lot. He always said that everything I touched turned to diamonds. He didn't care much for gold. Somewhere along the way the girls started calling me Diamond Jim and I guess it just stuck.

The Gator helmet reminded me of something. There is this doc that I work with that graduated from UF. He's real proud of it. But now he works at my hospital which is in the heart of Roll Tide country so I've got to bust on him. Anyhow, he came to the hospital one day with a white turtleneck that had this little 1" wide UF gator on the collar. I asked him if he had gotten dressed in the dark. He said "No. Why?" I told him that he still had his garanimals on.

He didn't laugh.

It's all good! I am all for a good ribbin every once in a while. Bama fans are NO joke. But I guess 12 national titles will do that to ya. But most have to come to the realization that....Bear...he's dead.

Is it just me ... or do the Gators have the same color scheme as Howard Johnson's?

Okay, so I wasn't real good friends with Hugh.

My dad, when he was young, was intrigued by a famous railroad tycoon, Jim Brady, of the late 1800s to early 1900s period. With his amazing wealth, Jim Brady did a lot of good things, like form charities and build hospitals. But he also had a darker side. He enjoyed women, gambling and drinking a little too much. But he was probably best known for his affinity for diamonds. He was usually called Diamond Jim Brady or just Diamond Jim.

My dad thought Diamond Jim was a pretty cool guy. My mom wanted my middle name to James. So at birth I was given the nickname Diamond Jim and grew up with that so everybody calls me Diamond. Some people I knew when I was a kid still call me Diamond Jim.

So there's the history lesson for the day.

Man, I should have gone to bed....

For me, the name is Chic, but most call me Chicster, so I use it. Beleive it or not, Chicster is popular for screen names. I hate the numeral after used screen names, so I added MG. I am a M1A1 Abrams Master Gunner. Spent three months studying and tearing apart the turret of tanks to become one. Tankers call the Master Gunner MG or Mike Gulf (phenetic alphabet), so I put MG at the end.

That's my story. ChicsterMG

All that work and now I am walking and carrying a rifle in the mountains of Asscrackistan.

Lovely.
