What'd you pay (roughly)? And did you pay cash?

The reason I ask...Is 'Busa's are down to only 6-8K now. If not less for older models.

if your asking about the Z, I paid 3500 cash for it. I will only pay cash for a bike. Why? I'm not sure but that's how i am. Maybe cause of the mortgage, insurance and car payment right now...

Also I don't think i'm ready for a liter bike yet. Do i want more tourque yeah but I don't think i'm mature enough yet to handle it as my main ride.

To both responses I give you a thumbs up sir.

I must say I'm continually blown away by the level of maturity you display for your age.

Keep it up man. You're a credit to the good name your parents gave you.

Now that we've worked ourselves up into a tricker lather....

Get back to work you boss flippin' off piece of crap!!!!

The extra torque might be nice on a liter bike, but as far as speed, they both run well up into the triple digits.

Hell, my GS500 goes 115'ish, that's plenty fast for me and I've only done it on a country road so no wisecracks about being a squid on the highway.

We missed it. When? Just now. When will then be now? Soon.

I can't let that info get out too much.. I have a rep to uphold here at work.. most are completely blown away that i did that and that management didn't have the balls to really do something about it.

I plan on keeping the Z for a long time cause I enjoy it as a bike too, i'd only increase the stable at this point. Its my first bike and it holds a lot of meaning to me. First title of a vehicle in my name completely mine and not the banks..

I have the Aaron Neville version downloaded and on my MP3 rotation. First time I ever heard it was on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack.

Now that you mention it, I had pulled my A.G.S. DVD out about a month ago, and the song has been simmering on the back burner of my brain since. In concert with the editing, it really works in that movie.

It's been in quite a few movies too......I'll try and look it up for kicks.

It's a killer song.

Here we go:

TV.

Entourage (an Intimid8er favorite, HBO show)
The Cleaner (USA Network Show)
The Wire (another Intimid8er favorite...HBO networks)

Movies:

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Any Given Sunday
American Beauty

I could swear I've heard it in more...maybe not, but one thing is for sure....The amount of use his catalog gets in flicks...he never has to work again.

Tricker is what I call a "rogue" employee, doesn't conform, bucks the corporate system, calls stupid stupid, but is the best employee the company has, and that's why management doesn't reprimand you when you flip them off. They can't afford to lose you. If they did, 3 people would have to be hired to replace you. I have one working for me too. Most productive employee I have.

Hahahahahaha.. well ok you hit it right on the head there. It would take them at least 1 1/2 years to simply train someone to what i can do and to what my abilities are. I have the respect from directors to lab assistants for my work. Two people in middle management have left for vacations and have said "your ass better still be here when i get back". Oh well, I have to somewhat behave right now. Probably doesn't help that I don't conform and play well with others who are idiots..

Yeah, I was a rogue too back in the day. Didn't fit in w/ the corporate scene, I had long hair, wouldn't wear a suit, no degree, drove a muddy 4x4 truck instead of a BMW, etc...But, they called on me when it was time to collect the big money on past due accounts, as I was the only one there who could do the job. The yuppies weren't very successful at dealing w/ trucking companies run by the Mafia. I have some interesting stories about dealing w/ those folks. They don't play games.

Funny how all them "Big Money Dudes" , or "Ace Salesmen" have a hard time asking for money both during the sale and after. Ain't it?

I sometimes stand shoulder to shoulder with these d-bags in the airports, or I've been known to go to a cocktail party or two with "High Caliber Salesman" that get paid half a mil a year, and I've come to the realization that the only difference between a high end job, and a regular job is the connections. Talking shop with a lot of these jamokes has brought me to the conclusion that a good portion of these "Aces" couldn't close their way out of a paper bag. Let alone, follow up and "upset" the customer by asking for monies owed.

After I left, (no one there to kick down doors and collect) the company started a new commission method, the salesmen got paid a commission on what was "collected", not by what was sold. They changed their tune in a hurry, and started selling reputable companies, rather than selling to any rat company that would let them in the door. It also weeded out the junk salesmen.

That's the only way to do it.

Pay when the funds cross the table.

saw a 1500 Kawasaki Vulcan knocked down to $7999.

It took every thing I had to not buy the bike on the spot.
