Default Listening to Gary Moore makes me want to play my guitar . .

. . . BUT MY EFFING GUITAR AND AMP ARE HALFWAY ACROSS TOWN AND I AM TOO DRUNK TO DRIVE AND GET THEM.

Crap. Maybe one day I'll have all of my F**KING gear together.

You guys are hopeless.

You can spout ambiguous movie quotes and recognize them, but you have no idea who Gary Moore is?

I knew a girl who'e brother-in-law was Little Steven. I was supposed to hook up w/him, but never did. I was always travelling and didn't have the time. That wasn't my inspiration though.

BTW: Those scarves came from India, bought them in Europe. You don't like it, then F**K YOU too!

I used to post over at another board, but I kept feeling like my posts were being misunderstood (you know, someone would always fire back a serious, angry response to something that was supposed to be a joke, etc.).

'Nut posted there, too (still does I think . . . I lurk there 'cause it's a great bunch of folks). So, we go way back. Way back. Like hundreds of posts.

I quit posting there after I got dog-piled for saying that it's hypocritical to say, "Poor Indian Larry . . . he was an icon," on a board that slams people daily (rightfully so) for not wearing gear, stunting, etc. Here we have a guy who stunted without gear, and suddenly everyone thought the world of him.

Folks got pissed that I made that point, and one small, teeny joke about it, so I figured I'd cut my losses and get out on a happy note by writing a nice little "Adios" post. It worked out well, I think. The main thing was, many of the folks on that board are within 6 hours of here, and I know I'll run into them someday at Deal's Gap and I didn't want to meet them face-to-face under the false pretense that I was an ass. When I run into them now, they'll remmeber me as "that guy that backed out of the forum because he felt like he was coming across as an ass when he's not," rather than "that guy that comes across as an ass on the forum."

Not that there's much difference.

In a sudden ironic twist, I was offered a moderator spot here the very next day. It really helped to lift my spirits.

I miss those folks. I really do. But you guys make up for it ten times over!

And here we had a mature debate on Indian Larry and we're both still here.

I saw Springsteen last year and it was the best concert I ever saw by far. Little Steven is a laugh, quite the faces on that guy. I also saw him (little Steve) open for U2 in 1987 (Remember? "Ain't gonna play sun City"). He's pretty cool on The Soprano's too.

BTW we're you lighting that guitar on fire?
