So now all the films he was in will be re-run.
May he rest in peace.

He was a good actor, and outspoken advocate for what he believed in. That deserves respect.

I may not agree with what he said, but I respect that he did say it.

Here we got jim going all Voltaire on the subject.

Waiting around for Ted Nugent to be elected president of the NRA.

I was more saddened by the passing of Richard Widmark, myself.

Another great actor gone.

Ventura would make a good NRA president; but he quit being Gov. because of the publicity his family got.

Couldn't imagine that being President of the NRA would be less controversial than Gov. of MN.

Unless, Inspiron is suggesting we need another choice for our regular president; I'd write him in.

I still say vote for Ted!!!! Who else could there be. I don't think "The Bod" could get it done for us. He can be bought out to easily. Why do you thing he is not Governor anymore (hint it's not because he was getting to much press, for God sake he was in the WWF) he was bought out due to what he stood for. Wasn't MN a Democratic state?

I thought he quit because he didn't know what the hell he was doing, and he made a bunch of hollow, totally impossible campaign promises based upon his misunderstanding of how the system worked.

No, Landry. That was GWB. Except he didn't quit.

Actually, GWs problem is an altogether different one. He understands the system all too well.

Yeah, well almost, but it's sad to lose them. I thought they both were remarkable actors.

Gov. Ventura didn't make a whole lot of promises other than "stop the stupid stuff that gov't does."

Like saying "no." A lot.

New football stadium? No.

New baseball stadium? No.

New College football stadium? No.

Now all three are being built, if I recall. With a good chunk of public dough.

Before being gov., Mr. Ventura was Mayor of Brooklyn Park, MN. As mayor, he would ride around with the cops from time to time to get a better feel of the problems he was dealing with.

It's a very sad commentary when someone that honest and decent gets so sick of everything they walk away.
