Apparently, Ventura lives in Mexico now. I'm not sure how\if that affects his eligibility in the NRA.

Like saying "no." A lot.

New football stadium? No.

New baseball stadium? No.

New College football stadium? No.

Now all three are being built, if I recall. With a good chunk of public dough.

Before being gov., Mr. Ventura was Mayor of Brooklyn Park, MN. As mayor, he would ride around with the cops from time to time to get a better feel of the problems he was dealing with.

It's a very sad commentary when someone that honest and decent gets so sick of everything they walk away.
I'm probably mistaken, but I seem to remember him making promises about more teachers, more schools and smaller class sizes . . . only to find out that he'd have to increase the schools budget by 100s of percent to fund it all. Money he didn't have and couldn't get.

I may be wrong on that.

Landry, I believe you are correct.

But, by and large, Gov. Ventura did more to block unnecessary funding of sports arenas (some that weren't 25 years old) than anything else.

He couldn't increase funding for schools, but not everybody's perfect.

Which reminds me, why couldn't he be Sec. of Defense?

Military veteran, wartime experience. I can see it now.
