lol

Yeah I've been with Nationwide Insurance for like 10 years now, I'm sure it won't be TOO bad. I pay $55 a month for full coverage on my current bike. ( only 500CC tho )

The Busa seems like it would be at least a bit more comfortable than say a GSX-R1000. Those are a bit smaller and meant to be crouched over full time. Next time I head to the dealership to get some work done ( in next few weeks in fact, I'm starting to hear a small metal ring sound in the engine, faint but I hear it, more vibration over the last 2K miles as well ). The 2007 GS500F has a small issue w/ the cam chain and there's some sort of known defect. I got a letter from Suzuki stating that the dealership should fix this for free if it's noticed... and I think that's what the issue is.

Dude, Jeff, remember my rationale for getting the GSXR? In case you've forgotten, here it is in a nutshell:

Quote:
-I have always wanted a supersport bike.
-I was hesitant to get one, due to my wrist problems
-In the end, I figure "If I don't get it now, I never will . . . I ain't gettin' any younger."
I say: Go for it. There's plenty of time for a cruiser later. Get the sport now while you're still young and stupid (no offense, meant in the most endearing way, my friend ).

Besides . . . how else are you gonna' keep up when I open up the Butcher Shop and start slicin' steaks??

Yeah, I'm already pretty set on it now... it's just a matter of convincing the wife. I already got the 'OK' on the cruiser, the Busa is actually $700 cheaper than the M109R2 so it's not a matter of the initial price it's how bad they rape me on insurance.

Besides, I'm normally against racing but when I get it ( and assuming it's brand new, get beyond break-in period ) you and I are gonna go at it just once somewhere out in the country where there are no turns for a few miles.

[Edit] For those safety conscious and thinking we're gonna be squids... no, I'm talking about where you can SEE for miles so there won't be any other traffic.

Its your wisdom that I think is so awesome Landry..hehe.. I totally agree bro.

Your only young once.. enjoy the thrill of speed.

Plus you can get sport bags for the bike if your willing to travel some on it.

No turns? Why not just strap an ape to the seat and let him race it for ya'? It's not like it takes any skill to row the gearshift!

I ain't wastin' my gas racin' no 'Busa's. Next?!?

Yeah I'm gonna get some bags I think.

One question, Scotty... does that back 'hump' come off so I can have a passenger I assume? I saw rear pegs so I can only assume so.... also when I go bowling I need to strap it down in back seat w/ my neat-o straps I got.

Indeed they do. You get the passanger seat with it. Just unlock the hump and slap the seat on.

Also before you start customizing it I can give you one of the best and cheapest places to get chrome, electronics and whatever else you may want.

I love my new gear shift indicator

Dude . . . we're in West Tennessee . . . where're we gonna' go, Texarkana?

I kid folks. Jeff and I, uh, ride responsibly at all times . . . WELL within the speed limit . . . we slow down for corners . . . we stop and hop off our bikes to help old ladies cross the street . . . we follow each other to near death as we both approach hairpins with the rear wheels locked (rememebr that?).

i just bought bags for my bike.. haven't seen what they look like on it yet. Was too busy riding yesterday afternoon. Might work on that this weekend. Free supper for me tonight!!! The advantage of living under 10 miles from my sisters.. must feel bad that i suck at cooking anything other than venison, pasta and anything else out of a box.

wow anyone else notice the ADD in this post?

Yeah, don't follow a lamebrained idiot on a motorcycle into a 90-degree while he's got his head up his ass. I still feel like a fool. I'd feel MUCH worse had we wadded it. I don't think my rear wheel ever locked either, it just made for a better story.

How come you never see Cracker Jacks anymore? When I was a kid it was like the only snack food out there. Now . . . not.

Wasn't your fault, #1 rule to riding... ride your own ride. If you blindly follow someone's taillight you're going to end up wherever they do.

And yeah, Cracker Jacks were awesome

Angry Suzuki Financing is a JOKE!!

I almost (ALMOST) did it yesterday.

I went over to the Suzuki shop to get a couple of decals for the bike. As I was walking in, there she sat. The 08 Orange and black, brand spankin new, lowered, chrome rims, Yoshi exhaust busa.

So for sh**s and giggles I started talking to the salesman about it. 13,000 was the going price for it. So I said lets see if I can get financed for it.

Now I said "lets see" for a reason. This shop uses Suzuki Financing which is virtually impossible to get a financed through or get a good interest rate. My credit score is 740ish and definitely high enough to get approved for a 200,000 dollar house if I wanted it but does Suzuki see this??? NO! They actually wanted a cosign. WHAT?!?!?!

Suzuki's Financing is a joke! bottom line! When I got my busa I went through an actual bank who was more than happy to finance me with a low rate with no cosign.

so a big F.U. to Suzuki's financing. You idiots lost a sell you bastages!!
