Default FluBBery

FluBBery, I feel compelled to offer an apology for the thread where you asked about downgrading from the 'Busa.

In my own defense (and in the defense of the other tossers in that thread ) we get LOTS of spams that look very similar to your post. Usually, they aren't ever followed up on, so we all hop aboard and poke fun.

Yours is the first post I have ever seen where a person wanted to go DOWN from a 'Busa, so I just assumed that it would be followed up with either a "bike for sale" or a "bike wanted" post. Oftentimes these types of posts are phishy.

That said, I again offer my apology. My humor was ill-conceived, untimely and inappropriate. Now to answer your question (assuming that you haven't already written us all off as wankers):

It is my belief that the GSXR 750 is the ultimate motorcycle. Not being the guy that has to have the biggest bike (no offense), I thought long and hard about what I wanted in a second motorcycle. I settled on the 750 for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, I had been riding a Bandit 600, so I really wasn't ready to hop on a ZX-10R or a 1000 gixxer. The 750 seemed like a logical progression. This won't affect your decision either way, as you already have blown 'Busas and what not.

Secondly, my research led me to the realization that the 750 is basically a strong 600! When you look at the weights of the 600, 750 and 1000, the 750 and 600 weigh nearly the same, yet the 750 has a few more ponies (I want to say 10 or 15 more hp) than the 600. The 1000 has a LOT more power, but it also weighs a little more (say, by 50 pounds or so).

Since my ultimate mission on a bike is to act a fool in the corners near my home (they're not great corners, but they're mine ), it seemed to me that a 750 would be the ideal bike for me.

So far, so good. It has ample power for a guy like me (I'm 5 and a half feet tall and about 165 soaking wet), it looks great [wipes slobber from his chin] and it handles like I would expect the supersport 600s to.

I hope this helps.

[EDIT] Peace?
