I'm trying to get " Flat-Out " to sponsor Sammy Sweet in the Pro AMA Flat Track races during "Laconia Bike Week".

I think Don and the "Texas Flat Out Team" could take the top honors and the $10,000.00 purse. Nearly covering their traveling, beer, Monster Energy and entertainment expensise...

I'm sure nobody here remembers Concertina Patty and Alvin Straczyski, local favorites in Milwaukee, or the live broadcast from the Red Rooster Inn on saturdays. It was pretty horrible.

Ironhorse Motorcycles is up for sale as we speak. Creditors are forcing them into bankruptcy, and they are currently looking for a buyer.

What's next?

The Teutel's will be forced into panhandling?

I for one, am glad to see the Chopper craze go. Not because I'm jealous....lord no...I do like the looks of choppers.......it's just I've learned about the practical side of motorbikin', and that there contraption ain't fittin' in the definition. Especially comfort. Cripes...am I gettin' old because I'm entertaining thoughts of purchasing a "Connie" as a garage mate for the Uly?

Biketoberfest put the nail in the coffin for me.....A few hundred thousand bikes in the same place and they're pretty much all the same.

The only time I see one on the road is when they ride over to bikers nite at the bar. I got to ride one that had what appeared to be 10 foot long forks on it. Cornering takes on a whole new meaning. They weren't meant to be ridden I don't think.

As long as a person's not trying to ride like a bat out of hell, I see no problem with a form over function machine.

Different things appeal to different people. Now, if they were just downright unsafe, that's a different story.

FWIW, I don't really care for choppers. the whole culture (beer, skanks, tattoos, leather chaps, etc.) is a turn-off for me.

From the looks of things, either 1. we all have our own biz, or 2. none of us are working. How else can we be PW's on a forum for 5 hours? I've been typing like crazy to keep up all morning. It's been like a chat room today. Back on topic, I can do it because I do have my own biz, but I think I might change. Apparently restaurants are the thing to be in now, every time I go to one it's a long wait.

Yeah, I'm pretty much not working at full capacity when I'm on the forums. I was pretty much gone from here for a good month or so because I actually had to put 100% of my effort into work... it sucked.

We'll see.... I don't plan on doing any work today until after lunch. I busted my ass Mon/Tue so that I could cruise the rest of the week.

I've done about all the work I can do for this morning, lol. I'm heading out for lunch, big mess of ribs and beer. Oh, and since I make the rules, my rule is it's OK to have a beer at lunch.
