I would head back to south america and open a riverboat tour on the amazon outside of Puerto Suarez in Brazil. Maybe a little fishing charter, some sightseeing, some Aligator Jerky...mmm, mm. That's living.

I'll settle for becoming independantly wealthy

Wow, I didn't expect that. That's pretty neat really. Sorry if I'm thinking in stereotypes.

Hmmmph. Funny you should ask. As some of you know, I left my restaurant management position 18 months ago to buy a home based pet food franchise.

Things have been going ok, to be honest. I just thought the home delivery is a good niche for some people but it was hard to upsell out of the back of my truck. I have been doing some pet sitting and pooper scooping (not just on this forum on thursdays) .
About a year ago I heard of the new concept of a self serve pet wash. I visited a couple and researched them online in the past year and thought it was a really cool idea.

SOooooo, yesterday, I secured funding to open a self serve pet wash and boutique to go along with my pet food franchise. Exciting and stressful times for my family in the months to come.

I am modeling my store after these > Wag N' Wash's Photo Gallery

Wow, sometimes the ADD on the board, including mods, amazes me.

I'm so proud....

I think its far more rewarding to strike out on your own and build something you think would sell to the public.

Pet supplies, clothing, toys and all that really appeals to people. You'd be surprised at how much money we spend on our "babies" now adays..

I wish you the absolute best Trapper..

Do you have any form of website people can go on and order things from you??

I had considered and even started developing a site, but I ran into some franchise issues WRT territory infringement.

I would have a couple of small businesses.

Grocery delivery; just around town, deliver groceries. Some people are in a hurry.

tree trimming - during the day, around town, trim the odd branch here and there.

and a little day trading, for when the other two businesses don't have anything going on.

I have owned a couple of Internet businesses in the past. I owned an ISP back when the Internet was still in its early years. Dial-up was still King back then. I also owned a small web hosting company. I currently work for a small corporation, but have thought about going back into business again. I would love to own a new and used book store somewhere on the East Coast. Either that, or another Internet company. I seem to be online a lot, might as well get paid for it!

I would open up a marina in GA where all the lakes are man made haha and open it up on Lake Oconee, huge lake and not many marinas, so competition is very low and just ahve fun on the lake haha (only dreams haha)
