| The same Harley guy (not bashing Harley guys) that told me not to get a 'Zuki because they are "throw-away bikes that only last 10,000 miles and then have to be rebuilt or tossed" ( I had never ridden a bike or been to a class before but I knew that was utter BS. Like I'd rather have my actual chin catch on something on the pavement, as opposed to a piece of protective gear. I have right at 30,000 miles on the Bandit. I beep and wave at him everytime I pass his bar.

| M-J.Com Master Poster ![]() | I had a guy at work spewing a similar story except he said the extra weight from the helmet causes greater forces that break the neck when hitting an object. This was after he told me his nephew t-boned a panel van striking the A frame at 15mph. Yeah no helmet worked like a charm for him, now mommy gets to change the guy’s diapers for the rest of his life.
