|  Bonneville speed record attempt Does anyone know much about Royal Enfield bikes? I ran across a website the other day spotlighting this guy named Dan Holmes who’s trying to take one to Bonneville next September for speed trials. You should check out Bonneville Bullet Looks like Holmes and his team could use some support! Hard to believe someone could gear up for a speed trial with so little backing. Amazing.

| Royal Enfield were great British bikes, like most Brit bikes they were reliable, easy to maintain and not expensive. Too bad the Brits couldn't see in front of their noses, they had the market sewn up but they insisted on building dated bikes and let the Japanese kick their butts out of the market with superior machines and great marketing.
