There's a fairly big game coming up Saturday between my UT VOLS and your Memphis Tigers. #1 vs #2. I'm heading out of town this evening and don't know if I'll be able to see it though. I'll be somewhere around Key Largo if things go as planed. Anyway, just wanted to say GO VOLS !!!!!!!!!

Naw, I'm generally a hater when it comes to sports.

I recognize the importance of the game, though. Few people in my near vicinity can draw a breath without saying something about it on the exhale. I hate UT, I hate U of M. Best case scenario for me is that no one scores any points and both teams are dissolved and returned to class.

I'm a high school basketball fan, it's the purest form of competition. I should have said high school sports fan, the kids are out there for the love of the game and so is the coach.

We're leaving here in about 1 1/2 hours, we're going to drive 3 1/2 hours to watch our local high school boy's basketball team play in the second round of the state playoffs.

Hiding in shame, unable to post on this topic anymore....the mighty Vols held the #1 spot for a whole day then lost to Vandy after thumping the Tigers.
