Odd coincidence. The cold I'm getting over was the first one in years that has left me almost totally drained. Sort of flu-like in it's ability to sap me of energy. Workouts have been real tests of will for the last couple of weeks.

I don't drink "energy drinks". As a matter of fact, I'm on a low-carb diet at the moment - I've dropped 11 lbs in the past 10 days.

Red Bull and those other drinks are carbo bombs.

energy drinks are what sometimes get me through the day.. But i figure i even it out with my working out. I tried to lose weight by changing my eating habits, running, working out more.. but just didn't help the way i had hoped. It ended up being i either lost weight or i satisfied my ego.. picked my ego

25 lbs in two months gents.

Jim. I dropped 11 pounds in the first week and then it normalized to 1-3 lbs a week.

First ten pounds are pretty easy, after that though it's pure dedication.

Now for my rant, I ate a piece of soft candy this morning ( yes Tim I know it's cheating ) and there was something not so soft in it, anyway it broke out a filling and now I have a 2:00 dental app. I hate karma.

Years ago, I was eating a piece of candy called a "Nip" at my sister-in-law's house. Somehow, it cemented itself to my upper and lower molars. When I separated my teeth, whalla!! the cap comes off one of them.

If you ever have a cap come off, immediately put it back in place. This will keep your teeth from moving around before you can get to the dentist. If they move, all bets are off and you may need a new cap.

As it was, I put it back in and only needed a little adhesive.

Here's the funny (there's always a funny): When the dentist asked how it happened, I said (with a straight face), "Well, Doc, I was gnawing away on one of my sister-in-laws Nips . . ."

The dentist:

That fool probably wanted to find out where to get some Nips so he could start handing them out on the street with his business card.
