Default Man It's slow

I know I've only been here for a short while, but things seem to be a lot slower since I've joined the board. Anyone have any ideas on why that is?

Ain't it funny, how these things are like living organisms?

You feed them some good food and they continue to grow and be active. You starve them for content and they seem to wane a tad. You feed them super-gro (Janis) and they almost choke.

You're not thinking it has anything to do with you are you?

I would be if my boss would let me out of my office...what thoroughly sucks is my bike is sitting outside my office window and the boss is on the back of hubby's Harley

Well, there are a few ways to catalyze discussion in the forum... none of them I'd recommend.
1.) start a thread on religion
2.) start a thread on politics
3.) starts a thread on religion AND politics (at risk of your forum privledges)

On a topic dangerously skirting one of the above, my mom got The Passion of the Christ the other day (apparently she reserved it). I watched it and will never watch it again, despite the movie not being flawed in any way. Arguably, it was good. I couldn't stomach it though; it was the most violent thing I ever saw in cinima (and I'm comparing it to Gladiator and We Were Soldiers for reference). Somehow, I don't think Jesus would approve of that movie (which is unrated...)

Damnit. I was trying to be all edgy and provocative. Ok... how's this:

Anyone whose bike has less than 1100 cc's is scared of a powerful motorcycle.

I bet that gets the board moving again.

Okay, folks . . . One to think about.

The Hayabusa is named after the Japanese word for the Peregrine Falcon, because the bird flies at/near the top speed of the bike.

Question: (forget about the bike for a second) Does the Peregrine Falcon reach its limiting velocity due to it's aerodynamic thumbprint (it can't go any faster because of the way it's shaped), or due to the height at which it begins its dive (it can't go any faster because it runs out of air)? Hmmm?

[EDIT: I do not know the answer . . . I'm just throwing that out there because I know you guys will have some pretty interesting answers. ]

What if we can get this falcon on the Atkins diet and he can then lose weight and climb higher....granted that he has now lost weight, he has more room to dive but his terminal velocity will be reached sooner....sooooooo will he be able to go faster?????

Why would he reach his terminal velocity sooner? Smaller profile? That implies that the aerodynamic thumbprint is the answer.

Question: If the falcon goes faster, will the bike?

<can ya' mod a falcon?>

I was thinking he'd reach it sooner because of a)smaller profile and b)less weight. I can't remember the equation for it right now.

Mod a falcon......Hmmmm......Carbon fiber claws???
