Default House Hunting

My wife and I have been house hunting for the last several weeks. The apartment complex we're in at the moment has decided to do some fairly useless upgrades and management plans to dump the cost on the residents. We've decided that the actions of AimCo property management are incompatible with the fiscal and domestic future plans of the Hufford family.

We have a great realtor who recently showed us a property that we instantly fell in love with. It is just within our price range and has all the amenities that we wanted, and more than we had hoped. Unfortunately we currently don't have any money for a down payment so we are relying on a 100% mortgage. The taxes on the property are a little high and push the monthly payment on that particular mortgage to a point that is affordable, yet prohibitive to to other financial concerns.

My mother, God bless her, has done something that I seriously did not expect. She's pulling $10,000 out of her retirement account and giving it to us for a down payment. My wife's company will kick in a $3000 loan and will take off 20% per year of employment. If I can sell my M50 for at least $4000, we'll be covered for everything.

So what I'm saying is, we could really use your prayers/support/well wishes/positive energy/whatever you want to call it. It's been a hell of a year for a lot of folks here and you guys have always been there.

Thanks all
Joe
