Default school started

school started back up today....i didnt even have to go to any of my classes thanks to rotc!!! everything is the same pretty much exce3pt for new faces and teachers from my middle school days that i would rather have forgotten. the schools computer messed up so i only had 4 classes. 2 for each semester. gotta get my revised schedule tomorrow. the worst thing about the first few days of school is the fact that you gotta wake up at 6:30 isntead of 9-12 and you are hella tired.

you gots to wake up at 6:30 for school instead of 9:00 to 12:00 wake up time.

I'm guessing 9-12 wakeup time is your summer sleep schedule.

Geez ... wait until you have to get up at 6:30am every day, 5 days a week, 47 weeks a year. And see the same faces every day for YEARS at a time. It's call a "career". Sheesh.

oh and dont be in a hurry to get that job either. I've been working since I was 16 and while i've done extremely well, I would love to have been more active in sports! Oh and get as much college credit in high school as possible!!

Listen to me Soad. Try to have fun the best you can. Despite the school.
Try to study and do well so that they won't bother you and you will have a background you may need later on.
But, please, don't forget to have fun and enjoy life!
IMO we should go to school from 50 yo on...like a reverse life

I had lunch today with a friend who has just taken a year sabbatical to go back to school full time to get an MBA. She is so excited and looking forward to it.

I dunno, I had a great time in college ... but I don't know if I could go back and study full time after almost 20 years ...

I'm going to go back (eventually) and get an MBA also. I'll have to take a lot of core classes I'm sure, but a Master's in Chemical Engineering just seems unattainable at this time (to me).

On the other hand, I am starting to take the necessary steps to take my Professional Engineer's certification next year (April). It's kind of like a lawyer passing the bar, I guess, with a whole lot less money waiting for me on the other side. I plan on failing it, but I'm going to try like heck not too!!

soad: nanny-nanny-boo-boo . . . you're iiiinn schoooolll. (J/K) Enjoy it while it lasts.

Yeah . . . they tell me I had a GREAT time in college. I must have . . . everyone I went to school with has to introduce themselves when I see them now! I say, "Yeah . . . yeah . . . I remember you! We . . . uh . . . went to school that time! Yeah! That's right!"

I know...it sucks right now...but seriously, things could be worse...

you could be out of school and have a low paying job, no health care or crappy health care (which is completely taken for granted when your under your parents until you're out on your own and realize you have to pay a lot to see a doctor!!), no vacation time or little vacation time (you don't get paid if you take time off), child support due for the unplanned children the one-night-stands or little flings said they "had under control", rent increasing evey 6 months, paying bills like electric, gas, water, trash, having to pawn off your favorite posessions to afford bus money to get to your low-paying job...which you have to work at 60 hours a week in order to make ends meet w/ the overtime pay...

my point...stay in school...use a condom!!

Man . . . kind of makes me want to go sit in the bathroom with a shotgun in my mouth and my toe on the trigger!! If it weren't for the outside chance that I might actually get to use a condom sometime in the next month or so, I think I'd be there!

<soad: that principal sucks . . . no binders? WTF? How many deadly binder accidents has that school had? I mean, sheesh!>
