Default Water ban!

They are no fun. I have to look at a dirty bike in my garage. The lake where most of Georgia's drinking water comes from, Lake Lanier, is I believe now 18 feet below normal level. 1,000 dollar fines to any violators. With a drought and whatnot I probably should be more concerned about other things than a dirty bike.

I'm glad you posted; although not for the reason of drought.

How bad are things going? I hear on the news, but sometimes the news goes a bit overboard.

Worst case, you could always save the drain water from when you shower and wash the bike that way

Yep. Especially since a REAL biker don't wash his bike anyway!

Why not just ride to Tennessee and wash it there?

Wash it the next time it rains, or just take it to the local creek and wash it there.

TMML:
Drought. That means there is no water

Anyway, a clean bike is like a clean desk. It means you have too much time on your hands

So, it'll never rain again? There isn't any water anywhere?

Funny, I saw some water in the lake in question on the news, and it's raining in Atlanta as I type this.

[EDIT] Go wash now!!! Now, dammit!!!

Yeah we are getting rain now, but like I said, Lake Lanier is 18 feet down. It is a pretty big lake too. They are calling it a drought, they say if it continues we will be out of water by January or February.

Washing in the rain doesn't seem like much fun. It would mean I would have to dry my bike. I prefer Mr. Clean auto dry myself! Haha, and funny you should mention a clean desk. Just cleaned up mine 20 minutes ago!

Hope you get some rain, we went through a drought last year too. Lakes going dry, trees dying, fires, etc. I had a TOTAL of 2.8 inches of rain for the whole year. But this year it has flooded, 7th wettest year on record. Good 'ole TX weather.

earlier this year.. .my parents got 12 inches of rain in i think a day or 2. Little bit of flooding. aka towns under water, flood control dams nearly bursting, oh and as my cousin calls it the car holocaust of 2007. Oh and then they got another 5 or 6 inches a week later. No drought here this year
