Riding in to work just seems to take the edge of another day in the cube. At least for a few minutes. There are some days where I want to just bypass work on theway in but then reality sets in and I make the last right tun into th ework parking lot. Then I find riding home takes the edge back off after another "fun" day in the cube.

Sore back, knee and fingers this morning. That's the end result of grabbing two 50# dumbells while trying to look at the TV as you step onto the bar of a barbell, which begins to roll, causing you to do the splits as you simultaneously plant your right knee into the cement and your left hand (punch-style) into the bar of the barbell.

Ouch?

Speaking of that last turn into the driveway at work . . .

As I made that turn this morning, two things happened:

1) I hit the big-assed jagged piece of pavement and the front end went "WHUMP!"; and

2) The front tire skidded in a pile of sand and fines.

Luckily, I didn't lose it.

Coarser than sand, finer than pea gravel. Picture a bunch of slivers of rock smaller than BBs.
