BAD MORNING.
After a tornado, hail, and flooding, looks like I'll have a busy day w/ clean-up. Hope the chain saw and front end loader starts. Maybe sometime this weekend they can put the power lines back up. Generators are a wonderful invention.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the clean up.

I had my first, "SO, how's your mom??" last night. It went . . . awkwardly?? I said, "Oh, she died back in September." <insert awkward silence here> I said, "I'll see ya!"

I felt bad for dude. I tried (and TRIED) to come up with something to say, but there was just static up there. Oh, well. He's a heck of a great guy all the same. Apparently, he liked Mama. He remembered her and he wasn't a guy that I would expect to, as he was part of my father-in-law's American Legion outfit and had *maybe* met Mama twice. I kept my chin up.

Yeah, that's very awkward for both parties.

I was at a ceremony dedicating the local American Legion chapter (252) to my father-in-law, Harry M. Crawford. I was so glad that someone knew enough to include the "M." His tombstone doesn't have the "M." on it and I just know it would tick him off to no end.

At least the Legion got it right. Someday, I may just pay to get that "M." put on his tombstone. I'll wait until the mother-in-law dies, then maybe I'll do it.

I've got some comp time to take, and today's the day. I'm leaving now to go eat at one of my favorite places (Young Avenue Deli, jgreth) and after that, I'm going home to work out (shoulders/arms/lower back) and I think I might hit the bag for 10 rounds or so.

Y'all stay dry this weekend!

Young Avenue Deli? Never been. Too bad it's not close to where I work or I'd go.
