The biggest thing I found to help was whenever I started to dwell on the thought of wanting a smoke I would occupy myself somehow. Go do something to get your mind off of it.

The biggest killer for people attempting to quit is dwelling on the thought that constantly permeates their mind, "I need a smoke."

Once you start thinking it, it becomes very difficult to shake off. The more you dwell on it, the more you are willing to give in.

Damn, I should have been a therapist.

Let us know when you need us to have a "Wheel takin' off, and a skirt raisin'" Party.

We'll be glad to help out!!

J/K Scotty. Good luck on finding a home. There's some great bargains to be found right now...I just don't know how to find them. I'm hearing stories about short sales that are ridiculously low.

Hello miscreants Hope everyone is doing A-ok today.. I am going to take pop for his follow up Dr.'s appointment but he is doing remarkably well lately. Seems his memory and life has come back stronger then ever. Also I am about looking at houses today with my Realtor.. hopefully I can find a nice little shack to call home soon..
Awesome man. I'm still an apartment dweller. I need to do the same soon but I'm waiting for 'the wife' to finish school and get a damn job. Once she's making a decent salary we'll be very financially comfortable. Damn I can't wait! That's when I get to get my new bike.

Well put Jeff. That captures it accurately.

Tornadoes likely again here this evening. I think last week I posted something like that and we had a small tornado hit about 2 miles from me. The biggest problem was probably when a telephone pole speared a large above ground fuel tank. Now that was cool. We had the whole EMA and Hazmat response for it. We had to go on stanby here at the hospital for victims. Nothing really good though.

Maybe mother nature was target practicing.

I know of one for sale. Millington. 1550 sqft. 1.17 acres. Quiet country living with great neighbors. Full brick, hip roof construction. Oak interior trim. Fresh paint inside and out. All new windows. 20' X 30' garage. Located 1/2 mile from highway 51. Flooring allowance will replace existing floors IN YOUR CHOICE OF COLOR. No real estate agent, so we both save on fees.

$125,000. Seriously.

You should come take a look.

10-4. I'm ready to sell (as the price suggests) and I'd LOVE to sell it to someone I know, since I'm letting it go cheap. I'd hate to sell it to a jerk at that price. My old neighbors would find my new house and torch it!!

Jeez, I wish I could take that!
That price will barely get you a one (tiny) room apartment!

There was a report about this on TV last night. Lots of Germans are now buying up properties in Florida, since the prices have dropped and the dollar is so weak.

A house that sold for $440K a few years ago is now going for $220K, which through the weak dollar is something like 150K EURO. For that price, you get a small 1000 sq foot apartment in Germany, but in Florida you can get a 4-bedroom house with a pool!
