Lite fog, 37. High of 48 with Sunny, cloudy periods.

The bulbs are starting to pop up. Spring is in the air.

Have the grandson for the weekend, almost 3 y.o..
Will start him on his first 2 wheeler today.
Not long before the Little Red Riders Club.

33 degrees this morning. We still have SNOW in spots. The mountains are still covered.
I-8 is finally open. A ride out to Borrego would be great...if the the patches of black ice were gone.
20 degrees hotter and this would be a great weekend.
Surf is pushing 9 foot right now.
I do believe the water is warmer than the air. Water temperture is at 57 degrees.

Been awake since 5 a.m. this morning because I have a nasty cold and can't breathe. To hell with sleeping.. its over rated so I got up to get a nice cup of coffee to ward off another headache. I actually slept in yesterday to 6:30 am but my head was having non of it and punished me with a nasty coffee fiend like headache.. thanks head.. way to support the rest of the body
Back is hurting like mad this morning, rains coming in so that means I get to get all doped up today and stay loopy.. thanks lower back.. you and my head have conspired against the rest of the body but apparently my arms are in talks with you guys as they hurt from lifting a few small logs over to the fire pit yesterday.. now I am starting think my whole body is revolting against me.. whats left anyways..

So before I drop dead.. GM everyone.. hope your doing wee..ee..elll

We crawled our sorry butts outa bed at 10:00am, boy was it nice. It's 63f here now, should hit 75f today. Watch out Scott there's some bad weather headed your way brother, I'm surprised everything was still here when we woke up today.

We got the bad weather and it lasted for about a good half hour. Popping with lightening and some heavy heavy rain.. now our front yard is a pond and I swear some guy at the end of our drive way is trying to unload his bass boat in here to go fishing..

but its passed now and I think we are due for a cold front to waft on through now.. the same ol pattern.. warm up, rain, get cold again repeat process.. no wonder I have a snotty nose..hehe

Good morning one and all, Anne and I went to the St. Valentine's day ball at the base on Sat night, great night, Then a long leisurely walk around Balloch Park on Sunday with the mutt, the weather has been fab the last few days, really cold and clear, that must be four days without rain.... must be heading for a drought. After the walk we went to the Balloch Hotel for an early dinner and we were totally surprised at the quality of the food - OUTstanding!

Brilliant weekend.

Happy Monday everyone.

Oh and BTW my John's kits Forward Controls arrived on Friday, looking forward to fitting them!

Oof. What weekend?

My grandfather (PaPaw) is dying. It's not really a sad thing (not as sad as it seems) because he's old (93, 94 in a month) and tired.

So, I talked my Dad into riding down to New Roads, LA with me to see him one last time. We're both glad we went, even though he didn't recognize me. That's okay, I'll cut him some slack. I recognized him, so . . .

We left Memphis at 6:30 a.m. Saturday and drove 7 hours. We stayed the night and then left at 6:00 a.m. Sunday for the drive home. Once I got home, I had to change the oil in 2 vehicles, and do everything I normally do on the weekends all in one night.

My brother wouldn't go. He had Girl Scout cookies to distribute. Girl Scout cookies versus dying grandfather? No brainer. Grandfather wins, hands down. Every time. Plus, who would miss out on a chance to return to the homeland and eat all that good food?

Anyway, here I sit.
