Good hump-day everyone. All is well down here on the foggy-lovely gulf coast this morning and we are humping away on the leg of a Wednesday like two ravid dogs

Good mornimng/evening guys!
10:10pm here.

Scott, that sure sounds much better than my dogs humping my leg!
The damage would be x 20.

But I guess it's usually those little ones that do that, afterall.

Haven't ridden to work all week.

Melissia and I joined this new, very cool church. It's awesome. Very child and community oriented. Now this is a big church with a huge atrium that you could probably store a 747 in. The sanctuary has two levels and designed like a modern concert hall. Seriously.

Melissia wants to join the choir and so does my 9 year old stepson. (oh crap, I'm gonna have a choirboy for a stepson?) Anyhow, we take him up there last night for the Christmas choir practice thingy, and they are having dinner in the huge atrium where there are about 70 tables. There's at least 120 people there, seated and eating. It's $5 for dinner. Everybody is eating, talking, laughing and just having a good ol' time.

So we get there and are invited to join them for dinner. So we do. We sit down around a lot of other cool people. I'm still amazed and this is all still sinking in for me. Then I say to Melissia, in my sometimes too loud and boisterous voice, "Wow, I didn't know they did this kind of thing here. This is cool as hell!" Of course, she immediately shot me one of those looks that women can do so well.

Quite a few people in the church heard me but I think they understood my enthusiasm. I figured so because they didn't throw me out.

Here's the church's link: www.northbrookbc.com

I only put my faith in tangible things.

Lawyers, guns and money. Not in that order.

I'm glad you found a "cool" church to attend.

Yeah I'll pass on the church stuff... Glad you had a good time tho.

BTW Mark, you forgot hookers ( note, NOT women in general.... with a hooker you'll always score ).

Didn't bring your A game this morning.

Back to the topic.... sure.

It's 43 F outside with some good wind gusts but overall pleasant ( as pleasant as riding in 43 F with high winds is ). Rode to work this morning as per the norm. In fact, since I got this bike I've driven my car twice. The only time I'll drive my car is if I KNOW for a fact that it's going to downpour all day. Otherwise I dun care.

It's strange to find that most people here in the US have no religious beliefs at all or something other than Christianity..

just an observation is all

I'm sure that the majority of folks are Christians in the US.

I don't fault people for believing what they want. If someone wants to believe in God, Allah, w/e then so be it. Just don't try to force it on me.

I am what you would call a wanna-be Christian. That is... I would WANT TO BE one but I just can't bring myself to believe a book written by fellow human beings who love to make stuff up to explain the unexplainable/entertain.

There is one thing that I DO believe in... there IS some sort of 'creator' out there. I don't mean it in the sense of a 'God' per se, but SOMETHING had to start the chain of existance in action. I don't mean our planet, I mean the universe as a whole. Everything didn't come from nothing. Something started it. Now... that brings me to another question... who created the creator?

Anyhow...
