MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmAWNIN!!!!

Had a bonus day off yesterday, training was cancelled, so a nifty wee bank holiday was enjoyed, on top of the first free weekend in two months!

I cut the grass! 5 hours pootling around on the wee tractor.. Excellent!

But it juss gets better.....

I may be in line for a couple of extra days off... tomorrer and Weds as well!
The crew in for training are limiting thier agenda, so I may not be neede for that, time to take some TOIL.

AND..... I have my first asessed ride with the Institue of Advanced Motorists on Weds eve.

AND Anne and I are away for a weekend meet on the bike, up at the wigwam park in Tyndrum Strathfillan Wigwams - Wigwams for camping in Scotland - SAC (Scottish Agricultural College)

AND it's been scorching hot all weekend, right now 59F and climbing!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAA

Good rainy morning. Still sore from the weekend cross country up in OK. Banging the Honda thru 100 miles of rocks and trees is tough on an old man.

I used to do that when I was younger. Just about the only way to get a few dollars to blow at the fair when it came around. So a few months before me and my sis and a friend of mine would go around collecting cans to turn in. It was easy since we only had to check on a few spots to score big. One being a little bar down near the river that all the rednecks hung out in. There where tons of Bush Beer cans sitting there good for the taking. By the end of a couple of months of can collecting we'd end up with about 50 bucks each.. Not too bad for a 10 yr old..

I rode today too. It rained a little during the night but was almost all dried up this morning.

We've got a McDonalds in my old city, Huntsville, AL that was on Fox News a few weeks ago. It was the first eat-in McDonalds ever and it was the second to the last McDonalds with the original golden arches sign. They were putting up a new sign and that's why Fox News was there. The old sign needed to be fixed. But once you take it down, you can't put it back up. That's because the old sign was grandfathered in under city's sign ordinances. So a new sign went up that met ordinance regulations.

Rode in at 6 am to visit an old friend.
Did not layer up enough or wear the right gloves.
Although it is up to 48F now, the wind is at 16 mph and a little cool.
Feels like a march morning.

TN will always be home sweet home to me. When I first set foot up in the mountains for some odd reason it felt like home.. like a place I should be living and not stuck down here on the damn coast.

Who knows.. maybe one of these days I will be in my log cabin up there, couple of horses and a breath taking view.. that would be nice..

Not a good morning, winds are 15 with gust to 30 and my spraying is really starting to back up on me. Unless something happens in the next two days it looks like Sunday is going to be a work day.
