Result of the long weekend ... over 700 km on the bike, and a pretty good sunburn on my head and face.

Rode about 200 kms on Friday, across the southern Black Forest and northern Switzerland, from Basel to Lake Constance. Lots of twisties ... and I finally got some good video of one of my favorite roads, which I'll try to post to YouTube tomorrow.

Saturday, I took the ferry across from Constance to Meersburg, then rode along the northern coast of Lake Constance to Lindau (near the Austrian border) to meet up with some friends. That's where I got the sunburn - we walked around the Lindau island for about 2 hours. I then rode back towards Meersburg and then followed the Rhine river towards home.

Yesterday, I rode to Dübendorf to go to the Love Ride Switzerland. What a sight! Over 10,000 bikes parked on the runways of a former military airbase. Perfect weather, in the low to mid-70's and not a cloud in the sky. After walking around the exhibition and taking a quick walk through the Swiss Air Force museum, I went looking for my bike (not easy to find when there are 10,000 other shiny bikes parked there!), and then rode home.

I decided not to ride the bike to work today (I took the train, as usual) since I need to do some shopping tonight...

the swiss had an air force? was it just a bunch of paper airplanes from back in the day??

Good Monday morning. Perfect day yesterday and I didn't even fire the ZZR up. My honey-do list was 2 feet long. Now it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days.
