Nah. The better the camera, the worse the pictures would get. Just no talent for it. Don't even give it any though.

The job of a " Pit Tootsie " is to help out when you can and enjoy a day at the track. In a worse case scenario, you pack up your riders gear and bike and hopefully get him home to his loved ones.

Besides, that's what friends do. Don't forget, you pitted for me and the rolls could have easily been reversed. All you have to do is heal up and make sure we're good to go for next season.

I think it was 5 or 6 times total. I'm hoping for more next year. I only did 2 days toward the end of the season. The good part ( for me ) is Tab is a more experienced and better rider. That means we're in different classes. When on the track, that means the other can be pitting and ready in case of a problem.

I'm really happy I met Tab and he gave me the courage and confidence to give it a try. I'd been thinking about it for a couple years but, I probably never would have. You get a picture in your head of a bunch of young folk tearing it up on their way to being the next Rossi. It's not true at all. There are plenty of folks in my age group or older. Some of the nicest people I've ever met have been at the track this year. I'm having more fun now, as a motorcyclist, than I have had since the first time I through a leg over my first dirt bike in the '70s.

Some other folk that influenced me to give it a try ( and they probably don't know it )

Ross - " nut "
Bill - " Blade "
Clint - " Rowdy " ( Ya, even him LOL )

It's just bad luck ( and poor track management ) that our season had to end with a crash. There's alway's next season. I can't wait for the '08 season schedules !!

Actually, I met Tab on Max Zuki and brought him here. I had a problem last spring finding a place to change tires at a reasonable price. Tab volunteered to do it ( he has the tools and balancing stand ). Since then, we've been friends and track buddies.

It was funny as heck, riding the Bandit over to Tab's house in the pouring rain with 2 motorcycle tires around my waist. I got some funny looks that day !

Yup. It was a sight to see. I'm a bit over 6 1/2 ' tall so they fit..barely. My street gear is black so I looked like the evil version of the Michelin Man.

Yeah the black Bibendum!! (That's his name)
You should have taken pics!

But it's so cool that you and Tab found yourselves and became track buddies. And thanks for bringing Tab here. I am so glad you did, because he not only has a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also a great guy!

Geez, you folks have me blushing like Elmer Fudd in an old WB cartoon.
Hey Nut, the bike faired quite well in the low side. It might cost me about 200$ to get her running again. No leaks anywhere. The old trick of not over tightening the controls, I think pretty much saved the brake master cylinder, and the lever. The whole unit was dragged off the clip-on. I don't even think the clip-on is bent. Then all I need is the right side foot peg mount. A little fiberglass on the back side of the fairing, and she will be good to go next season. Along with the normal list of things to check this winter.
Yeah, I met Paul over on m-s. When I saw that he was just a couple towns over from me, I thought it might be a bit rude of me not to try to meet him. I'm really enjoying this around the world chatting, here, and over on m-s. It is a shame so many of us live so far apart. I'm not much of a traveler, but if any of you folks find yourselves heading our way, you have to give Paul and I a PM so we can meet up, and even save you some money on hotels and the like.

Now I need to suggest yet another office also in NH.

Haha. Management will think I've gone crazy!

I haven't gotten to the bike yet, so I'm not sure if there are any small odds and ends that she will need. Seriously, I'll order what I can. I'll only resort to asking you folks when I'm desperate. I like the idea of keeping the pipeline healthy. Unless, YOU are desperate to clean out the garage.

How did I know you'd say that. Over build the engine so you can't blow it up. Then fiber glass, J B Weld, PC 7 etc.

Girls like to be healthy. But, they like to look pretty sometimes too.

Have a repaired (welded one) with peg. If you want it, LMK. remember, it is an old bike, so looks don't matter. This one came out of my racing spares bin. It is the right (rear brake side) correct?

Ha ha, that's funny. The one I broke was weld repaired too. Didn't break along the old weld too. Dude, looks?? You definately haven't seen my bike.
I entered her in a "rat bike" contest once, at one of those "bike night" things, and I have the trophy to prove it.
