| Well I guess it is time to give everyone an update on the wife and daughter. The wifey is in physical therapy and is able to put her weight on her foot; they hope to have her walking with a cane by the end of the month. She had a pressure ulcer on her heal from first the splint and then the cast it wasn’t getting better so we went to the Wound Center at the hospital and they ran some tests and gave her some medicine to soften up the scab the didn’t think it was too deep. On the return visit yesterday they decided that they need to remove the scab so that the tissue underneath would have a chance to grow back. It’s a good thing they decided to numb it, by the time they were done removing all the dead tissue they were down to the bone. The sore was about the same diameter as a quarter and there is an area just smaller then a dime that is exposed bone. So this may set her back a little. The good thing is that there is no infection and her circulation in the foot is good. My daughter the youngest who is still living with us finally came to her senses and dumped the bonehead she was dating. Thank You Jesus! She just got a full time job working in a local retail store and is soon going to be getting her drivers license, once she can afford to pay for insurance. I’m not sure I’m ready for this. |
