Default Books

Alright, I know there are quite a few bookworms out there.

Lets see what you like, and possibly, are willing to share.

Not bad. The writing style evolves greatly throughout the series. It begins as something that you would expect an eleven year old to read and ends up as regular everyday fiction. It remains readable after several years.

Douglas Adams - The Hitchikers Guide Series

The first "grownup" books I read. I actually have a signed first edition of Mostly Harmless that is one of my most prized posessions. The Hitchikers Guide books are something that everyone should read. If you like Neil Gaiman's Gods books then you'll also enjoy The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.

Gregory Maguire - Wicked

A look at the background of the Wicked Witch of the West. You'll never watch The Wizard of Oz the same way again.

Heinlein - Stranger in a Strange Land

I can read this over and over and find something new in it every time. This book really makes you look at our world from a different perspective.

Stephen King - The Dark Tower

INCREDIBLE story. Absolutely amazing storytelling. It does not get better than this...with a caveat. After you read Wolves of the Calla, you'll come to the same realization as me...Stephen King is OUT OF HIS MIND. He's totally lost it. He has left reality far far behind him, long long ago.
