So yesterday I get home from work, park the bike in the garage, walk out back to see if my sister let the dog outside... and what do I notice. On 2 of the skylights on the roof are 2 bees nests the size of softballs. Oh.. not just ANY bee's.. Yellow-jackets. My least favorite of all bees considering everytime they sting you its multiple, and im deathly allergic to them. So needless to say I go to the garage get out the 15 foot ladder, climb to the second to the top stair, take out the bee spray i grabbed which SAYS sprays 20 feet. I was about 12 feet away from the house. So what happens (brand new bottle of bee killer spray) and it only shoots 11-12 feet, barely hitting the nest... now I gave it a good soaking for about 5 seconds, but i notice 2 bees have gotten away from the hive, 'm pretty sure I hit them and they'd die soon, but being allergic i FLIP OUT. Oh.. by the way, i WAS wearing sandlas, but about the 9th step up I kicked them off to feel more sturdy.. big mistake. So the 2 yellow jackets that are probably dying fly up into the air, i freak out climb down 1 or 2 stairs, (so my feet are prbably still about 9-10 feet off the ground) freak out and jump off the ladder. No serious harm done, however i landed on or cement back walk way (it has little stones in it too) so i land on that, no shoes on, on my left heel. Get up run 20 feet back into the garage and in the house.. moal of the story is my left heel is swollen and bruised so badly that I couldnt ride the motorcycle to work today because i felt I would not be able to support the bike if god forbid it started tipping over or soemthing terrible like that.
Oh and then i went to the lumber store, picked up a can that sprayed 27 feet (or so it claimed, really got closer to 20 though.. good job wth measuring distances bee killer making ******* who cant measure right), took that can home.. back up on the ladder.. killed the 2nd (farther away) nest, and walked down the ladder gracefully.
moral of the story.. even dying bee's can get their revenge on you if you're allergic.
