So, I received my second speeding ticket today. My first speeding ticket was in a car and was resolved by legal counsel, as this one will be. Today, I was cited for going 47 in a 35, an interesting caveat is that I hadn't passed a car, nor was I gaining on the F250 in front of me. So, all well and good, I admit that I was speeding, but what really boils my ball (I only have one after an unfortunate Jiu-Jitsu accident... not kidding) is that when Sgt. Ingsoc pulls me over, he has the nerve to ask, "What's the problem? I see you have a little attitude there"? Wait... rewind... say that again? "What's the problem? I see you have a little attitude there?" First of all, I was shaking my head and while not being pleasant, I was certainly not being belligerent... hardly what I believe an officer should call an "attitude". Second of all, why does it concern him? From what supernatural well-spring of respect does he deserve my cordiality from? I'm sure many of you will disagree, and that is your right. But, for all you JBT's out there... cite me with my violation, keep your mouth shut, and be on your way... or don't be surprised when a 19 year old piss ant isn't going to pat your ass and give you a tongue bidet. ETA: I'll be back in an hour to take the lambasting that will surely ensue. |
